We have a range of classes for every age and ability

  • Nursery Ballet

    Pre School (Nursery) 2.5 -3.5 years
    Learn while having fun on Saturday Morning

    Nursery Dance uses dance steps to music appropriate for the motor skills of the age group.

    Safe and lots of enjoyment. This class prepares the children ready to progress to Primary Ballet, Modern and Tap.

  • Modern & Tap

    Modern is lots of fun! Styles include jazz and lyrical. The technique from the Ballet class provides a strong jazz foundation and helps in contemporary and musical theatre. Students can take optional ISTD examinations.

    NGDS start Tap classes from the age of three. This builds a strong foundation for later work towards ISTD exams.

    Students who study Tap alongside their Ballet and Modern find rhythm easier in other genres.

  • ISTD Ballet

    Ballet is the foundation of all dance. It develops technique, good posture and discipline.

    Classical classes start from 2.5 years on Saturday mornings learning to dance while having fun.

    Once pupils start school, they progress to weekday classes and can work towards their optional ISTD examinations, please see the timetable for more information.

  • Contemporary

    Contemporary is an evolving style. It requires a strong foundation from Ballet and Modern.

    The I.S.T.D. Modern Syllabus gives pupils an understanding of core strength which is required for Contemporary Dance.

    Next Generation’s Talent Quest Programme (TQP) incorporates Contemporary, touching on a variety of styles.

  • Musical Theatre

    Musical Theatre gives the students an opportunity to work on their singing technique combined with their dance.
    It helps develop confidence and performance. It encourages the students to approach their performances from an acting perspective.

    The TQP programme gives the students extra opportunities to perform.

  • Adult Balletonercise

    This Class is for mature ladies who require low impact exercise but enjoy toning and stretching to music.
    Based loosely on Ballet barre exercises it strengthens, stretches and tones the body.

    This is a social class, make new friends while exercising and having fun.

    Wednesday 6.30-7.30

  • Adult Tap

    Its never too late to learn.

    Currently we have an Adult Intermediate Class for those who wish to dust off their tap shoes on Thursday 6:30pm.

    These classes incorporate both a Musical Theatre style and Rhythm Tap Technique.

    This class is open for all abilities.

    Find your inner self and explore movement and music while keeping fit.
