Debra trained from the age of three at the Woodman School Canterbury achieving vocational status in RAD, ISTD, IDTA Ballet and ISTD, IDTA Modern and Tap.
She took her first teaching exam AIDTA Ballet at the age of sixteen with ‘Honours’ gaining a full scholarship to the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance she was immediately to teach at the Rambert Junior School while studying for her Rambert Diploma.
Under her stage name of Carlie Johnson she has appeared in many West End plays and TV programmes.
Debra has covered all aspects of show business in her professional career.

Rachel has taught alongside Debra since NGDS opened in September 2010 and is NGDS Deputy Principal. She is an experienced ISTD Teacher and Choreographer, ex Professional Dancer. Rachel is introducing sensory dance/music classes for mothers and children.
She is also the owner of Rachel Hilton Photography specialising in Family/child photography full of movement and joy.

Lydia has been a full time Dance Teacher at NGDS since April 2021 and also runs Adult classes in Tap and Dance Fusion.

Sarah has recently returned to NGDS after the birth of her daughter Bonnie. She runs a successful Fitness class for mature ladies and takes care to cater for individual needs.
James has been working with NGDS since 2015 and is a very important part of NGDS. He creates opportunities for pupils to Dance and Act in such as Professional Pantomines and events. Specialist Teacher and Choreographer in Contemporary, Creative Dance, Musical Theatre, Ex Professional Dancer and Choreographer
Seren joins NGDS April 2025.
She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Musical Theatre and Dance and a Triple D*BTEC Dip.in Performing Arts and Musical Theatre. Seren looks forward to introducing new dance genre to NGDS such as Street and Hiphop while creating a fun and creative environment for all students.
Ruby has trained at Next Generation Dance since 2012.
She is currently working towards her I.S.T.D Vocational Exams
while taking A Level Dance at Folkestone Grammar School for Girls. Ruby is looking forward to studying ISTD DDI/DDE Teaching exams soon while continuing her education at University.
